I think astronauts have nerves of steel. There is a story that when they launched John Glenn into space way back in the 1960s, they monitored his heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, and all the rest during take-off and re-entry. They barely blipped above normal. I think astronauts have the opposite of anxiety disorder... they just don't get fazed by mere things like being stranded in space.
BTW, it is my understanding that, if need be, Elon could launch one of his Crew Dragons and retrieve these guys, so there is an emergency fallback plan.
