Trouble on Magic Mountain?
While We Were Distracted with the Debate and the Immunity Decision, the World Economic Forum May be Falling Apart
Klaus Schwab, the man who looks and sounds like the quintessential James Bond villain, has announced he will be retiring from the World Economic Forum (WEF) in January 2025. This strikes me as bizarre, since super-villains almost never retire and even non-villainous business men are reticent to step down from the vast and influential businesses they built. Schwab set up WEF in 1971 and has run it every year since then, watching it grow from a businessman’s club to a springboard for world domination.
Now he is going to step down to allow for some organizational restructuring? Seems fishy. Sure, Klaus Schwab is older than Joe Biden, but these are the years of the gerontocracy! Why would he give up now?
Considering that WEF is a globalist organization that seeks to make us eat bugs, this retirement could be good news. WEF has been such a product of Schwab’s feverish brain, it is hard to imagine how it goes on without him.
In case you did not get your inviation for this eyar, WEF is a club for elitists with meetings held every January in the picturesque and very remote Swiss village of Davos. Davos is the place where Thomas Mann’s novel Magic Mountain was set. Magic Mountain is about a sanitarium town caring for sick people. Mann used it as a symbol for a decrepit and failing Europe. Sometimes life mirrors art, since the WEF meetings are held on that very same mountain.
Schwab, for his part, was a business man who recognized very early on that more business deals take place in hotel bars than board rooms. Even big, complicated, and highly consequential business transactions rely extensively on networking, parties, and “access” to get their work done. In fact, the Clinton family built their considerable fortune on this concept of selling “access” to political power, as did the Biden family. This idea of networking and access as inroads to real power is nothing new, but Schwab created a systematic way of doing it out in the open and skimming money off the top. But it turns out that bringing that many bad guys into one meeting every year for 50 years was not a good idea.
What may or may not have started out as a business club or billionaires’ retreat, soon morphed into a force for world domination.
Klaus Schwab belongs to what I call the “famous but little known” club. He should be famous, and he is, in his own way, but most people are sort of oblivious to him. He could probably walk into an airport with no one noticing him. But he’s a major figure in the recept slump toward totalitarianism that the world is enduring.
Born in 1938 in Ravensburg, Germany, (Bavaria), right before the Nazis invaded Poland, Klaus Schwab is both a citizen of Germany and a permanent resident of Switzerland. His father, Eugen Schwab, was in the Nazi armed services (as were many people at the time). The Schwabs were Catholics, as were most people from Bavaria. (By the way, Bavaria is also where the Illuminati started… in Ingolstadt back in the late 18th century.)
Klaus Schwab—one of the few people on earth older than Joe Biden—was not really the academic type in a classical sense, but his family background and intelligence got him into and out of a lot of schools. He holds a double PhD: one in engineering and another in economics. He also got a master’s degree in public administration at Harvard. It was at Harvard that Klaus Schwab met Henry Kissinger. (Kissinger became a regular at the World Economic Forum, giving his last talk there in 2022 when he was 99 years old.)
In setting up his vision, young Klaus Schwab started working with an able assistant named Hilde—they married in 1971 and remain married to this day. They have two children, Nicole and Olivier. Nicole has founded The Gender Equity Project, so she sounds pretty woke. But it’s their nephew Hans Schwabe who will likely take over the WEF, at least he seems the most involved at this transitional phase.
Maybe this is happening because Schwab is aging out of this role—but that seems unlikely. After all, when your keynote speaker is nearly a cenetenarian, you don’t worry much being in your 80s. Old age seems to be valued at Davos. Why, if Biden or Nancy Pelosi were to visit Davos, they’d likely be called “kid.”
Back in the 1970s, Klaus and Hilde Schwab were interested in building a business that would profit themselves while promoting the business interests of rich people. This is actually a pretty savvy business model, but it was never an altruistic goal. WEF started out as a money-making operation that could throw around liberal, feel-good slogans about how they were working to improve the world. Davos, being remote and beautiful, seemed the perfect spot for this retreat. (After all, who’s read Magic Mountain, much less knows that it’s about a sick and dying Europe?)
But somehow, somewhere, WEF catapulted itself from a smart little money-making business organization to a smart big money-making center for global domination. Sometimes when WEF is mentioned, people say that this or that is a conspiracy theory. I have heard people say “The Great Reset” is a conspiracy theory. No, it’s the title of one of Schwab’s books (actually, the full title is COVID-19: The Great Reset). If you do any research, you’ll find that WEF is not hiding a whole lot about their totalitarian agenda. They just write about it in longish texts on boring websites that nobody reads.
WEF hosts an annual clambake every January in Davos, which created a nice little business for the Schwab family. Meetings and conventions can be lucrative enterprises—there are membership fees, admission tickets, and hospitality costs. While Klaus Schwab decries the disproportionately high salaries for business CEOs, he makes about a million a year himself as head of the WEF. One of the most prominent of Klaus Schwab’s personality traits is an immunity to a sense of hypocrisy.
Here is just one of Schwab’s tricks: WEF gave a $1M contract to a media company called USWeb in 1998 (it’s run by his nephew, more on them later); as soon as the deal went through, Schwab took a seat on the board and got stock options—which turned out to be very valuable. This sort of symbiotic relationship of giving money to companies and getting payback by board membership is very typical of the elite overlords. The Schwabs may be getting a cuts from hotels, limo services, taxis, restaurants, and other enterprises that profit from these annual meetings. I say “may” because we do not know. Nobody knows what the WEF—worth over $500B—does with their money.
The prestigious Frankfurter Allgemeine newspaper in Germany has publicly criticized WEF’s opaque and badly done financial reports. As a nonprofit organization, WEF is supposed to submit (and even publish) clear and accurate financial reports, but the ones they offer do not even make a distinction between income and expenses. You couldn’t get away with filing your income tax like this! But rules for the rich are different, I guess.
Everybody makes money in Davos in January. About 3,000 people convene in Davos in January every year and rooms go at $400 to $500 a night, and that’s for the cheap places. Sex workers converge on the mountain town in January to service the rich and famous, where an evening with a prostitute can cost around $2,500. Prostitution is legal in Switzerland, but many sex workers dress in business attire and mingle in the crowd so as not to make the place look tacky. In 2020, the London Times did an investigation and found at least 100 out-of-town prostitutes traveled to Davos along with the big shots.
Membership in the WEF is pricy, too, and you have to be a member to attend. The cost for company membership at the strategic partner level is $658,000 a year. This should help explain the powerful draw that WEF can be. Who spends this kind of money, year over year, if they’re not walking away with even more lucrative deals? Even cheap memberships are at least $60,000 a year.
In some ways, WEF is perpetuating a type of fascism. Facism, as invented by Benito Mussolini, is a system where the government and big business join forces to run things. WEF, like other public-private partnerships, is fascist in orientation—it seeks to bind government to private business in ways that disenfranchise ordinary citizens. From fascism evolves “elitism.” If you’re not part of the political ruling class or the billionaire business class, you’re not an elite. You’re a slave, well, at least you work for them, not the other way around. And despite the fact that the richest of the rich are members of WEF, many of them do not much care for capitalism—at least not for the masses.
WEF, which started out as a business venture, soon got high on its own supply and took on airs about solving global problems on a transnational level. Davos regularly welcomes celebrity scum like Bill Gates, John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, and other big names. Entertainers go, too, like Bono and the flavors of the month sometimes join in, like Greta Thunberg. The meetings also include lots of high-powered business types who are not famous. But the things these guys cook up behind closed doors are less about solving world problems and more about transferring money from the poor to the rich, exploiting working people, corrupting healthcare, pushing vaccines and other dubious health mandates, and dismantling government programs in favor of putting more taxpayer money into billionaire pockets.
Donald Trump spoke at Davos in January 2020 right before he left office. He gave the keynote address and Schwab praised him for his economic policies and inclusiveness. Of course, Trump later called the people at WEF “foolish fortune tellers” and never got invited back.
As WEF grew, its ambitions expanded even more. It now no longer seeks to provide solutions that might help governments, it wants now to run its own global government. Klaus Schwab is the guy who told us that we could eat bugs. He said we would own nothing and we would be happy. This man does not have our best interests at heart. Schwab is savvy enough to avoid most interviews and on-camera appearances, because he just creeps people out. The image below is one of the nicest ones for him.
Klaus Schwab expects (and usually gets) treatment normally reserved for a head of state—although he is not one. No one ever elected him to any office. But he is a sort of kingmaker and, never shy, has been quoted as saying he expects to get a Nobel Prize one day.
While Klaus Schwab, with his bald head, trademark frown, and heavy German accent, seems villainous, he has some interesting attributes. He is not at all burdened by hypocrisy. That’s why he created what is essentially a billionaire business retreat but gave it the motto of “Improving the State of the World.” It’s more about improving the state of his bank account with a side order of global domination. While Davos has the usual roster of boring speeches and breakout sessions, the real action is after-hours at the parties and banquets and hotel bars. A savvy business man can fly into Davos and hobnob with half a dozen heads of states and a dozen billionaire investors in a single evening. Some brag that they do not ever bother attending any of the official (boring) sessions. While Schwab is officially unhappy about this, he is not so unhappy he doesn’t keep taking their membership money.
To see how Schwab works, here are a few WEF tidbits.
Audi is a partner for WEF and provides shuttle services. In return, the Schwabs get discounts on their personal vehicles
Hans Schwab, the nephew of Klaus, was tapped to set up a network of nonprofit businesses that would use the WEF money as venture capital—in other words he could tap into WEF money and pay himself
Klaus staked about $5M of WEF money in his nephew’s latest venture, a video production company called USWeb. Klaus’s stake in that outfit is now worth about $20M.
So what is WEF really up to?
Well, if Hillary Clinton has taught us anything it is that you can combine the dual objectives of consolidating vast political power with selfish money-grabbing ambition.
WEF meddles in all sorts of things that are none of their business. They want to regulate crypto currency, they have plans to modify seeds for agriculture, and they are going to regulate the automotive industry to make it “more sustainable.” They want to set up a system so the governments of the world all default to the World Health Organizaiton (WHO) if another pandemic breaks out. Do they know anything about those subjects? Not really, but that’s not the point. The point is they are consolidating the power to do it.
The government isn’t good at doing anything, and there is no reason to think WEF would be any better.
WEF says that it wants to eliminate poverty, regulate artificial intelligence, and be active participants in advancements in genetic mapping. They like vaccines and Big Pharma. I am not sure they believe climate change is real, but they definitely believe the climate change narrative is useful. There is literally no area where WEF does not want total control. These are not elected officials. These are a random collection of rich people who want to run everything.
Keep your hand on your wallet.
They collaborate with other sinister organziations like WHO, the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, many governments, nearly all lefty government officials. Just to show you the kind of riffraff they let in, Anthony Blinken attends
The remarkable thing is that Klaus Schwab is retiring in January 2025, that is, the next meeting. The official statement is that Schwab is stepping down after over 50 years at the helm so the organization can change its organizational structure. In specific, they want to move to a board and a president rather than revolving around the single figure of Klaus Schwab.
I am hopeful that what has happened is that WEF has outlived its usefulness. Not much attention is being paid to Schwab’s imminent retirement, and you’d think that after trying to take over the world for the past half century, he’d at least get a little press.
Is something up? Or is he really just ready to retire?
Wow, I don’t trust any of them. I was aware of the Davos meetings, prostitutes, John Kerry and the like private jetting over every year to fight climate change. I really didn’t know about Klaus Schwab. I find it hard to believe that he would just walk away.
Another great job exposing a little covered but important story.
You’ve struck a nerve mentioning the WEF.
Whatever they are up to, it can’t be anything good for us.
First, one can’t discuss the World Economic Forum without mention of the Great Reset, announced by Schwab in 2020. He said “The COVID-19 crisis has shown us that our old systems are not fit any more for the 21st century. In short, we need a great reset." Prince (now King) Charles, stood beside him as he did it. British Fabians like Attlee, Wilson, Callaghan, and Blair all had a close relationship with the UK’s monarchy. King Charles may not be a Fabian (hard to tell) but he will undoubtedly work with them as long as they allow the Crown to exist.
To sell the Great Reset, the WEF used scare tactics and the excuse of Climate Change and Covid-19 to induce a change in all aspects of civilization (political, economic, security and cultural), with the ultimate goal being a world government controlled by them. Here’s a video they produced: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rAiTDQ-NVY&t=2s , illustrating the scare tactics and promising a utopia if we just comply.
They've produced other videos referencing capitalism, like this one: https://www.facebook.com/worldeconomicforum/videos/189569908956561/?ref=embed_video. The WEF has called suggestions that they wanted to replace capitalism with another economic system “ridiculous”. Leftist fact checkers have defended them, doing everything they can to ridicule that notion and the idea they are totalitarians.
Yet, the WEF website published an article in 2016 titled “Does capitalism need some Marxism to survive the Fourth Industrial Revolution?” and concluded that “the cross-pollination of ideas between capitalism and Marxism is worthy of serious discourse.” Of course, they don’t really want to discuss it with us, just amongst themselves and then enact whatever they decide.
Schwab and company promise a better world. A fairer world. But so did Marx. Schwab says we have to “reform” capitalism because it’s created “so much inequality and instability” and is causing “increasingly frequent social disruptions across the world.” I say GARBAGE. Capitalism has given more people in the world a quality life than ever and capitalism is the only economic system that has reliably offered people a way out of inequality and poverty. And it's not capitalism that has created social disruptions, it's the enemies of capitalism.
But instead of the capitalism we all know, Schwab and the WEF want to impose on us what they call “Stakeholder Capitalism”. Curiously, they never seem to define the term, not even in papers they produce describing Stakeholder Capitalism … like this one: https://www3.weforum.org/docs/WEF_Global_Technology_Governance.pdf.
Even the WEF website titled “What is stakeholder capitalism?” (https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2021/01/klaus-schwab-on-what-is-stakeholder-capitalism-history-relevance/) only says “Stakeholder capitalism is a form of capitalism in which companies seek long-term value creation by taking into account the needs of all their stakeholders, and society at large.” As far as I can tell, that term describes a system where elites will make all decisions on our behalf.
Indeed, the WEF spilled the beans in 2016 when they put out a video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zUjsEaKbkM) with predictions for 2030. One of them was “You’ll own nothing. And you’ll be happy.” That doesn’t sound AT ALL like capitalism. Another prediction in the video was “Whatever you want you’ll rent.” So … no private property. How do you have a capitalistic system without private property? You don’t. The WEF is lying when they claim they don’t want to abolish capitalism. Still another prediction was “The US won’t be the world’s leading superpower.” I ask you … can they make their agenda of diminishing the US and what it stands for any more apparent? They also predict that “You’ll each much less meat.” If they’d been honest, they’d have predicted you’ll eat no meat … since that is their stated goal in their 40Cities agenda for 2030. In fact, you fly either. And you'll only have one car, if you have any car.
Next they push fear … warning that “a billion people will be displaced by climate change”, and informing us that we will HAVE to “welcome” and “integrate” these efugees … meaning no borders. Then they reinforce the lie that carbon dioxide is what’s causing global warming (now climate change) by predicting there will be a tax on carbon so the fossil fuel industry becomes “history”. They don’t tell you that the tax is another scam to make them all rich.
And finally they present some more pie in the sky utopia. “You could be preparing to go to Mars,” they predict. Like that is going to happen to ANY of us or benefit any of us (sarcasm). They end by saying “western values will have been tested to the breaking point,” as if it’s a good thing they’ll break by 2030 and as if there is something wrong with “western values”.
What to do they mean western values anyway? Are they the ideas that underlay the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution? Are they concepts like national sovereignty? Private ownership? Christianity? The individual being more important than the State? This just sound like more leftist propaganda to make Americans think the US is the most racist/sexist/classist nation in world history. When it's not.
Finally Schwab claims “The COVID-19 crisis has laid bare most of these dysfunctions, ranging from uneven access to healthcare, education, economic opportunities, and social progress, to growing inequality among and within nations and racial and ethnic groups. At the centre of these multiple crises lies the tension between privilege and meritocracy.” If you ask me, that’s nothing but self serving garbage too. I'm glad he's retiring but I pray his replacement isn't worse. And that seems to be the trend in leftist organizations these days.
