No Kings? More Like No Cards Left to Play
And The Jussie Smollett Award Goes to the "No Kings Riots"!!
Imagine the wretched and incredible poverty of a political movement so desperate to find a cause—any cause—around which to launch nationwide violent protests that they are forced not only to make up a grievance, but they must reach so far that the contrived grievance is utterly false.
Democrats are no strangers to gaslighting, lies, or making stuff up. But the “No Kings” riots takes the proverbial cake.
After blowing over a billion bucks on the sad Kalamity Harris campaign, Democrats are now sinking even more cash than that into the “No Kings” protests, hoping to galvanize a bunch of people to get rid of the King of America.
The only problem with this plan is we have no kings. Never have. Check the Constitution. We don’t have a king. We also don’t have a queen or a queen consort. And if Trump truly were a king, would that make his youngest son Prince Barron? Seems a confusing moniker.
And if you want to see the boundless ignorance of the liberal movement, these protests went global and were held even in the United Kingdom, a nation which—unlike us—actually does have a monarchy. So they’re holding “No Kings” riots in nations without kings and “No Kings” riots in nations with both a king and queen consort.
The closest thing we have to a king in the United States is the hapless and unhappy Prince Harry, but I think the Democrats rather like him.
The Jussie Smollett of Riots
Every time a Republican is elected, Democrats respond by hosting a summer of billion-dollar bonfires in their honor. This 2025, Democrat riot season has dawned and I view it with some enthusiasm, because the best theme they can come up with is “No Kings.” Bear in mind, these guys drop tens of thousands of dollars on focus groups and consultants and PR firms and the best slogan they have for our troubled times is: No Kings.
It reminds me of Jussie Smollet, a hapless actor who was very eager to be a victim of a racist hate crime. I guess he thought it might help his career. But, alas for poor Jussie, we live in a nation with so few actual racist hate crimes that he had to make one up. It was a ludicrous fiasco that fizzled so fast it never even became a conspiracy theory. We all new right out of the gate it was a con job. Smollett claimed to be out getting a sandwich late at night in a freezing Chicago winter when some guys jumped him and put a noose around his neck and screamed, “This is MAGA country.” (Chicago is MAGA country? MAGA people hang out in the middle of the night at a Subway restaurant hoping to encounter a random Black person?)
We all know it was staged as if it were an impromptu crime, you know, like MAGA guys randomly assault people and throw nooses around them. It was utterly implausible even to the pea-brains at MSNBC. The story unraveled almost before it got legs: the assailants were not MAGA people, but a couple of guys from Africa who were paid by Smollett. (They confessed.)
The “No Kings” riots have the same vibe. I suppose one is to assume from this slogan that they perceive Donald Trump to be a king. However, I would point out that he was duly and legally elected to the office of President. Monarchs—with the exception of the old Holy Roman Reich of the German Nation emperors around the year 800 to 1200 AD—are not elected. (And the aforementioned Holy Roman Emperor was elected by a small group of people known as the Electors, not the populace.) So Trump, by definition, is not a king. Nor was there a coronation. He has no crown; instead he wears caps. He fights and scraps and argues for his every policy. No one ever cuts him any slack. If that’s your idea of a king, I don’t think you know what a king is.
I guess that the riots were supposed to convey the fact that Trump has assumed preposterous amounts of power, but that’s not true of modern kings. Trump is sometimes accused by the undereducated among us of being authoritarian. By contrast, a real king like King Charles III has very precisely defined and sharply limited powers. While he has an advisory capacity to elected officials, he never voices his own political opinions in public beyond very bland statements. His mother, Queen Elizabeth II, did the same. Charles has no power to wage war or issue edicts. He is more of a symbolic figure, a national figurehead. He is the titular head of the Church of England. He has ceremonial functions in Parliament and other national events. He serves on the boards of various charitable functions. Every now and then they make him wear elaborate uniforms and balance a crown on his head.
Unless you go to the Middle East, you won’t find kings with any real power. So are the liberals saying that Trump is acting like a king and that he has too little power? But it seems like they are saying Trump has too much power—so why use the “king” verbiage? Where is there an authoritarian king in North America, Central America, South America, China, Japan, or Western Europe? The only monarchs I can think of who still wield old-school power are in the Middle East—the Saud family, for example.
Remember, the Democrat party is the one that allowed Kamala Harris to get the primary nomination without having a primary. They also swept Bernie out of the way in the primaries when it was “Hillary’s turn.” The Democrats monkey with elections and get the vapors if there is any mention of voter ID. They want elections without identification, allowing voting even without proof of citizenship, with a mail-in voting system that extends weeks after the election day. That alone is proof that they rig elections.
No one who wanted a fair election would ever under any circumstances oppose voter ID. That seems to me more authoritarian than the party that wants voter ID and fair elections.
So I’m both perplexed and delighted. The “No Kings” global riots are protesting that America—which doesn’t have kings—shouldn’t have a king and that our alleged King Donald has too much power when he is a “king” and kings typically have very little power. This shows the Democrats have plumb lost their minds.
The Democrats claim Trump is authoritarian. Yet they:
Installed a president with dementia and ruled this nation by unelected behind-the-scenes committee
Used an Autopen to sign executive orders by said president, in many cases, orders of which he was totally unaware
Opened the border (illegal, the Constitution requires the president to maintain sovereignty of the nation)
Allowed a Chinese spy balloon to cross this nation (illegal, aiding and abetting the enemy, the definition of treason)
Allowed China to purchase massive tracts of American farm land and rural land near military posts
Drained the strategic petroleum reserve for no other purpose than to lower gas prices after shutting down drilling in the United States and seeing gas prices increase (sounds stupid? Yeah, well, it was)
Defied the Supreme Court (the Supreme Court said Biden could not forgive student loans, but he kept doing it or rather whoever was pretending to be Biden kept doing it
And this is just the tip of the iceberg
The compliant mainstream media covered for Biden and his merry band of Democrat grifters—Pravda was never as good at raw propaganda as CNN, MSNBC, and ABC news. I think the mainstream media in America could have held a seminar that would have given new ideas to Goebbels.
So what has King Trump done? Well, he has secured the border, started deporting illegal aliens, and he has rid the nation of thousands of illegal immigrants with violent criminal records. Fentanyl deaths are down. Illegal border crossings are down. Prices are down on most things, in particular gasoline and eggs, which are things most ordinary Americans care about. Jobs are up. A lot of the Green New Scam has been peeled back. He has exposed massive fraud in the federal government. He is shutting down Democrat money laundromats. He honored the military with the 250th Army birthday parade. The list goes on, and most of what Trump has done is a long list of what most of us Americans want done.
George Floyd and No Kings
The George Floyd riots made a martyr out of a criminal who met an unfortunate end. According to the autopsy, Floyd died of fentanyl toxicity and not mistreatment at the hands of police. His death is unfortunate because it is a direct result of an out-of-control border policy perpetuated by Mayorkas and the Biden administration. But George Floyd was no martyr and no saint. He had no great defining cause in his life, other than passing counterfeit money and doing drugs. The riots were fabricated and the Democrats burned good chunks of the country down “in protest.” But George Floyd as a martyr at least seemed plausible—at least at first.
The “No Kings” riot is utterly implausible. In a world of ludicrous Democrat antics, this is the most ludicrous thing to come along in a while. It’s gas-lighting at its most sinister. It’s pretending that we have a king so liberals can loot and burn down Waymo cars. I personally think Waymo cars are cool and great symbols of American ingenuity. But the lamebrain Democrats see them only as props to destroy in their quest to get the kings out of America, when we’ve never even had a king and are in no danger of getting a king. The Democrat agenda is to destroy the things that make us great and are symbols of our technical innovation, while rioting to protest something that doesn’t even exist.
All of this tells me they’re run out of arguments. It’s like arguing with an angry teenager or even a petulant toddler. At some point they stop yelling and throwing things and just sputter. Toddlers may call you a poo-poo head. Teenagers might swear. That’s because, in the end, they have nothing. When you run out of arguments, you start swearing, yelling, calling names, and destroying things.
It reminds me of the old-fashioned kiosks they used to have in malls with the store layout. There would always be a pin or sign there saying, “You are here.” And here we are… at the corner of Democrat Implosion and Moral Bankruptcy. Yet Democrats are so in love with their anger, they can’t stop rioting.
“No Kings”! What are we going to riot about next? Not letting hamsters drive? Putting a stop to jet skiing across the Atlantic? They’ve gaslit so long and so hard, they’re gaslighting themselves now.
Excellent article ... especially your list of some recent hypocritical democRATS’ actions which have been authoritarian (king-like). But I would add one more to that list.
An example of the left's hypocrisy is the fact that not one of the “No Kings” rally attendees, top democRATS, or leftist MSM outlets that celebrated “No Kings” day has criticized the wedding of Huma Abedin and Alex Soros, even though it happened on the very same day as the rallies. Perhaps that was deliberate just to take attention away from the wedding's opulence.
Indeed, it was lavious affair fit for a king and queen. It was held on the estate of far left multi-billionaire, George Soros, Alex's father. Abedin, who was married to disgraced New York Democrat Anthony Weiner, was a very important aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton … meaning that she helped Hillary break countless laws (and broke some herself). Some in the press commented that this was a marriage linking two great families.
Now when I say this was a swank affair, look at the guest list. Besides George Soros (who paid for not only the wedding but much of the anti-ICE and No Kings *protests* disrupting cities across America the same day, the 100 or so guests included Bill and Hillary (and Chelsea) Clinton, Barack and Michelle Obama, Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, Governor Kathy Hochul, Jimmy Falon, Rory Gates (yes billionaire Bill Gate’s son), Susie Tompkins Buell (billionaire who is often described as the soul mated best friend of Hillary Clinton), Vogue’s Anna Wintour, James and Nicky Hilton Rothschild (billionaires representing the Rothschild family’s worth an estimated $400 billion!), Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt (multi-billionaire who help Clinton sell out America to Chinese Communists), Dennis Mehiel (another billionaire), and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama. In short … a group of kings and would-be kings.
These guests arrived in private jets and fleets of black SUVs, again suitable for kings. They feasted on truffle agnolotti, Wagyu beef, grilled prawns, chilled English pea soup, champagne from private vineyards, and a five-tier wedding cake made with saffron and pistachios.. The wedding ceremony took place under a custom-built white canopy draped in imported orchids, with a string quartet playing elegant music. And of course the bride repeatedly changed outfits during the affair, all of them made by top designers and suitable … well … for a Queen.
Yet not one complaint from the left about this YES KINGS gathering.
Spot on!! Great article.
