Maybe Democrats are Just Plain Dumb

Picture this: Election Day, 2016—that monumental turning point in American history when Trump defeated Hillary Clinton. I had a profound political insight in a parking lot that evening before the polls closed. I was stopping at a store to buy some cat food and an epiphany hit me.

At that time, I had a number of liberal friends and also some Conservative friends. My liberal buddies consumed their news from CNN, MSNBC, Morning Joe, and far-left sources like Mother Jones, Politico and Wonkette. These guys shunned Fox, let alone Conservative media outlets. They subsisted on a political information diet of all liberal commentary, wrongly believing it was fair and objective journalism. To them, The Wall Street Journal was written by right-wing extremists and KKK members.

They assured me that not only would Hillary win, she’d win by a landslide. And she’d be great for the country and usher in an American renaissance since she was the best qualified person for the job in history. They adored her. Nobody on earth could match her qualifications and expertise. She was perfect! They couldn’t explain her policies to me, but they knew she would get about 70% of the vote. At least.

I followed those same news sources, but I also followed Conservative outlets. I was avidly reading Breitbart, The Gateway Pundit, Daily Wire, Daily Caller, and others. I even watched Alex Jones. And when I went to those sources, I was told Trump was going to win, the Democrats were clueless buffoons, and the country needed somebody better than a nasty old kleptocrat like Hillary Clinton in office.

It was a few hours before the polls closed and I was standing by my car in a parking lot and I thought to myself I was living in a sort of crazy dichotomy. Half of my world said one thing, the other half said the other. I tended to favor the Conservative side because at least they had a policy (other than Hillary’s unspoken but understood mantra: “It’s my turn!”)

And I thought this: if Trump wins, then Breitbart is right. If Hillary wins, then CNN is right. I decided I would follow the camp that was right.

Trump won.

That was my first unequivocal proof that the mainstream media (MSM) was gaslighting the country. All the histrionics of Rachel Maddow and all the slouched shoulders and eye rolls of Mika on Morning Joe could fool me no longer. They had lied to us. When Trump walked away with the White House in 2016, I counted these as receipts. Proof.

Fast forward to early July of 2024, when Biden had just turned in the most disastrous debate performance in history. Liberals are in an uproar or a panic or hysterical tears because they are not sure what to do. The cognitively impaired codger may not win the election. What to do? What to do?

Well, I predicted this problem in 2021 when Biden moved into the White House. Biden at that moment in history was already old. He’s the same age as Mick Jagger, but Biden was seriously old and didn’t have moves like Jagger. His cognitive decline was evident. Moreover, Biden entered office with the stench of Ukraine corruption, China collusion, a dysfunctional family of addicted children, and a tendency to like to be photographed while nuzzling small children. He was decrepit upon taking office and it would be unreasonable to have assumed he had 8 strong years ahead of him.

Any savvy Democrat political analyst would have said that the years from 2021 to 2024 should have been about building up the Democrat bench. (James Carville, where were you when they needed you?) What the Democrats needed were smart, young, strong, charismatic candidates. Instead, they wasted four long and disastrous years in power not building up their bench at all. In fact, they tore it apart, much as they did the economy. There are fewer strong, smart, young Democrat candidates in the mix today than there were in 2020. And no Democrat I can think of has charisma at all.

Why did they run with Biden in the first place? To me, that is a mystery covered in an enigma and wrapped in bacon. It seems like long ago in the 2020 Democrat primaries there were two dozen candidates tossing their hats in the ring. Remember that guy Andrew Yang? He was handing out guaranteed income checks and in debates, he impressed me as being a very smart guy. (I disagreed with his policies, but he was articulate and had reasons for what he was proposing.) Liz Warren had legislative chops, and she was as big a communist as any. Amy Klobuchar was savvy and had a nasty streak, like a good politician. Tulsi Gabbard was a steamroller and the Democrat trifecta: articulate, charismatic, and a person of color. Plus she is a veteran. Had Gabbard launched her political career as a Republican, she’d be in office today. Even the hapless and entitled Pete Buttigieg at least had youth and homosexuality to recommend him (plus he allegedly speaks eight languages). Marianne Williamson was bizarre, but at least she was an original.

So why did they pick Biden and then why pair him with the other worst-possible candidate, Cackling Kamala? Again, a mystery. Why pick Biden/Harris for 2020? They were both losing votes like mad in the primary, but voting was always something the Democrat machine could overcome.

• Was it Biden 2020 because Biden was so neck-deep in corruption that he could be easily controlled by the Deep State, in contrast to poorer candidates like Warren or Klobachar or Yang?

• Was it because Harris was agreeable to doing the bidding of the Deep State in return for some sort of compensation, say a future high office?

• Was it because Biden could pull a bait-and-switch, running for office on the lie that he was going to govern as a moderate, working-class-friendly President when he intended to be a cross between Karl Marx and Woodrow Wilson?

• Did Harris get the job because she was the closest thing they could find to a Black candidate? (Harris is mixed race—she is part Black. But there are tons of African-Americans in this country and none of them were supported by the Democrat machine.)

Moreover, it remains a mystery as to why in the past four years, the Democrats have done zero toward building up a respectable group of potential future leaders. True, they have the Squad, but their raging antisemitism and schoolgirl-like wild gestures (I’m talking to you, Jamal Bowman) and other antics are starting to turn voters off. Even the older Squad members are starting to hit their expiration dates. It turns out Americans are not that crazy about a Representative who flies the Palestinian flag in front of her Capitol office or another Representative who addresses a Somalian crowd in Somalian about how she’ll fight for Somalia in the government. Nobody thinks Jamal Bowman really doesn’t know how a door knob works.

Jasmine Crockett, a Democrat from Texas (that’s like saying a cat from the dog pound), was wailing on July 4 on social media site X about how Democrats could let this happen! What plans did they have? It’s funny to see Crockett wake up suddenly to the idea that Biden might not be the ideal Presidential candidate in 2024. She’s in Congress. Why didn’t she sound the alarm years earlier? Why didn’t Kamala mention that Biden was cognitively impaired? I could see it and I never met Biden; I’ve only seen video clips. But no Democrat sounded the alarm, although they all knew. For a Democrat, everything is always somebody else’s fault.

So this brings me to the idea that the Democrats are high on their own lies. The MSM has gaslit and bamboozled the public with tales of Democrat heroism and Republican wrong-doing. They promoted rabid Trump Derangement Syndrome. J6 was the worst insurrection since Pearl Harbor. Donald Trump wants to bring back slavery. Donald Trump—although out of office—personally and single-handedly outlawed abortion and took away all freedoms in America. Donald Trump wants to outlaw birth control. Those wacky Democrats wrote more fairy tales than the Brothers Grimm.

The thing is, I knew the MSM was lying. You knew they were lying. But I’m starting to understand now that liberals did not know they were lying.

The current meltdown shows that they honestly thought Biden was doing a super-duper job. They believed the economy was strong, prices were plummeting, the border was closed, crime was at the lowest levels ever, and Build Back Better was making America very powerful. They truly thought that Biden was a statesman on par with Washington with Lincoln-like oratory skills and the savvy understanding of politics of John Adams—and throw in some Winston Churchill while you’re at it. Biden was great. Nicole Wallace is an honest reporter. Joe Scarborough has valid opinions. The View is a smart, savvy show offering keen political insights. Oh, and Donald Trump is Hitler.

They believed it!

The debate revealed the Emperor has no clothes, or, put another way, the Democrats have no clue.

After the alleged election of 2020, I asked a liberal friend of mine whether Biden’s many gaffes and missteps bothered him. He was assuring me how great Biden was doing and what a hero he was on the world stage. He claimed Biden enjoyed unprecedented international respect. He also assured me Biden would go down in history as one of America’s all-time greatest Presidents.

“Don’t the gaffes bother you?” I asked.

“What gaffes?” he asked. I think he was sincere.

I sent him some clips (“lying dog-faced pony soldier,” the time he yelled at a voter who asked a question, “I don’t work for you!” and times of shaking hands when no one was there). He assured me these were all fake news. Digitally altered. Made-up stuff. Clearly done by Trump in his evil bat cave where they issue fake news and connive to bring back slavery.

My liberal friends—I no longer have many—never would check out alternative news sources. I once asked why a particular liberal was so fearful of hearing a news source that might present a different side of the story. “I don’t listen to lies!” he practically yelled. I told him that he couldn’t possibly evaluate the other side without listening to them. “I don’t need to listen to liars!” He then told me, “I don’t have to live in Somalia to know I wouldn’t like it there!”

I have known since 2016 that the MSM is brainwashing low-information voters and Democrats, but I repeat myself. Not one of my liberal current or former friends acknowledges this even as a possibility. It’s a form of low-level brainwashing perpetrated by constant repetition. You know, how questioning the 2020 election happens because of “baseless allegations.” Climate change is an “existential threat.” J6 was an “insurrection.” More on brainwashing the public in this way is offered by Matthias Desmet’s great book, The Psychology of Totalitarianism. He calls it mass formation. Despite it’s heavy-weight title, it’s a short book and a very easy read.

Then comes the disastrous Trump-Biden debate in July of 2024. Some liberals are literally wondering: was the MSM lying? Or maybe Biden always was great and just suddenly got sick? Maybe it was cold medicine, as Anthony Fauci, MD, suggested. Seriously, they need to revoke that medical license.

The Democrats have just been force-fed a big fat red pill and it’s stuck in their throat.

Now that Biden has become literally unsupportable, they yanked the election away from him. Despite all of the Democrats who voted in the primary, Biden walked away and those votes (and donations) were summarily handed to Kamala. Talk about the Democrat process—there isn’t any when it comes to Democrats. Their party name has become a brutal irony. Kamala is running on stolen votes and money donated to somebody else—but that is how Democrats define democracy. They select the candidate and take your money and rig the election; your job is to just nod, thank them, and pay more taxes.

Think about it. Why didn’t Robert Kennedy, Jr., benefit when Biden dropped out? Unlike Kamala, he actually campaigned although he had to do so without Secret Service protection. Why didn’t the Democrats push Biden out sooner (they knew he was senile, they just didn’t think the rest of us knew it)? If they had, others might have run: Warren, Buttigieg, Klobachar, Yang, and I’d add Williamson, but she already was running. The Democrats just ignore her, you know, in the name of democracy and fair elections.

Now that the dust has settled, I’m wondering why they let Biden debate. People in the inner circle knew Biden was cognitively impaired. I’m nowhere near the inner circle and I knew he was mentally unfit. They knew he was walking into walls, trying to turn on the TV with his cell phone, and kicking his dog. Why let him debate and expose the charade? I have some theories.

1. The first theory is that the Democrats set such preposterous demands for Trump to debate (CNN as venue, Trump-hating moderators, no audience, ability to mute mikes, and so on) that they were hoping he’d refuse to debate, and Biden could fall back on the excuse, “We wanted to debate, but Trump wouldn’t agree to our very reasonable terms.” Or maybe they wanted Trump to counter their demands, and they’d howl that Trump was a baby. But Trump agreed to it all, every last bit. In other words, they fell into their own trap.

2. The second is that they even though they knew Biden had dementia, they wrongly believed that an eight-day stay at Camp David with round-the-clock care and coaching would overcome his cognitive deficits. Democrats do not know science or medicine (remember masks—another Democrat “scientific” idea—seriously, take away Fauci’s medical license). People with dementia lose short-term memory first and these deficits can be sizable. So no matter how much they prepped Biden for the debate, he would forget everything he learned in a matter of hours, maybe minutes. Long-term memory stays with dementia patients, but the short-term memory goes fast.

3. The third is the theory floated around by some Conservative outlets that claim the power-brokers wanted Biden off the ticket so they “tricked” him into the debate so he’d be humiliated and have to quit. Biden never wanted to quit and certainly Jill is attaching herself to the White House like a barnacle on the hull of a ship. But why push Biden out, when they had no other strong candidate?

4. Finally this: they bought into their own lies. The inner circle, outer circle, pundits, and all the rest all believed wholeheartedly that Biden was a great statesman. The mighty Joe Biden could rise to the challenge. Biden was way better than Trump, so it stands to reason, he’d be better at debating. Trump, as we are told frequently, is a convicted felon (so were Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandala, and Rosa Parks, but I digress). Trump wants to bring back slavery. Trump fomented an insurrection and tried to topple the U.S. government. Trump wants to ban contraception. Clearly, Biden could win a debate against Trump!

In other words, in a moment of what I would call divine irony, the Democrats fell into their own trap. The Emperor had no clothes. No defending Biden any more.

We’re now living through a Democrat clean-up on Aisle 3. I honestly do not like Democrats or their political ideas, but I used to think they were smarter. They’re apparently not. I used to think they had some sort of big plan behind these weird irrational acts—but now I’m not sure. It’s all an act, lies upon lies with no point to the story. The Bidens are a crime family. We had four years of kleptocracy. Now he’s sundowning and the Democrats—who believed their beloved MSM for years—are puzzled that Biden has turned out to be a shuffling old coot who can’t find his way offstage after mumbling incoherently through a debate while Jill keeps stuffing foreign checks into her pocketbook.

So they pushed Biden into a corner and Kamala Harris takes the reins. She couldn’t even close the border, and she’s going to fix Ukraine, the Middle East, open the Suez Canal, and keep China away from Taiwan? Not to mention shore up the economy? But even if they give us Kamala as president and positioned her to run against Trump, it seems highly doubtful she could win. She’s the most disliked candidate of all the Democrats, and that’s saying a lot, considering Hillary is a Democrat.

Far from a master plan, the Democrats just created a nonsensical mess of their own party, lied about it, believed their own lies, and now they’re angry … mostly at Trump. Here are the five stages of what Democrats are going through right now.

1. Be force-fed a red pill

2. Choke down that red pill, but deny it and refuse to consider any evidence not provided by the government or its MSM lackeys

3. Blame Trump for your malaise, ideally while naked and twerking at a PRIDE event

4. Develop a substance use disorder or exacerbate your current substance use disorder(s)

5. Turn on Rachel Maddow for comfort

When Democrats realize that their trusted and beloved MSM has lied to them, they go into a political version of battered-wife syndrome. Sure, they get raging mad but eventually they come crawling back to the MSM and believe them when they lie to the public again.

But a few will break free. Let’s pray that many of them get free.

And I’m not sure this Three Stooges episode is over yet—stay tuned! Indeed, if three stooges is any kind of omen, one more stooge is yet to appear!
