Chinese Checkers
How the United States is Giving Up to China
While Trump and other politicos are allegedly playing 3-D chess, there are dangerous factions in America playing Chinese checkers.
Are we sold out to China? Here are four things I cannot explain apart from the fact that our Democrat overlords have sold us out to China.
Fauci
The first thing nobody can explain is what the United States—in the person of Dr. Anthony Fauci—was doing working in collaboration with the Wuhan Virology Lab on a bioterror weapon.
Dr. Fauci is a United States citizen working at a high-profile job heading the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID). It’s not a glitzy job but it gave Fauci a big budget and a low profile. He hooks up with a large scientific lab in one of China’s largest cities (Wuhan, even if you never heard of it, is a bigger city than New York). The Wuhan Virology Lab is known for many things, but rigorous quality control is not one of them. So Fauci and our money went to Wuhan and started working on gain-of-function variations of a severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) virus. Gain-of-function research was technically illegal; even Obama did not have the stomach for it. But Fauci and your money weaseled their way into a Chinese lab and started to work.
This is not a big diatribe on the COVID scam. That’s ten other stories for another day.
What I’m wondering is what on earth the United States is doing partnering with China to develop a bioweapon? Isn’t China supposed to be our enemy? What was the end goal for this virus. Are China and the United States allies? Somebody ought to have told us.
And I know it was some kind of evil covert deal because even mentioning the word “China” in the early days of the pandemic was condemned vigorously for being racist.
Green New Deal
This is not about climate change. It is about the big Democrat-driven push to go green, in particular with electrix vehicles. Before Elon Musk’s Tesla fell out of favor with lefties, every Democrat was advocating for electric vehicles. Climate change was a global affair but the only solutions proposed involved a massive overhaul of the United States and only the United States.
Remember that ridiculous Energy Secretary of the Biden regime named Jennifer Granholm? She was pushing that the military should switch over to electric tanks and electric trucks. This led John Garamendi (CA-D) to introduce a ludicrous bill called the Military Vehicle Fleet Electrification Act. Yeah, electric tanks in battle, what could go wrong? Let’s file this in the “Democrats are America’s worst enemy” file and move on.
Electric vehicles require energy which they store in batteries which are built using rare earth minerals. Rare earth minerals are not really that rare, but they are not plentiful in the United States. China holds the largest deposits of the rare earth minerals useful in this quest.
So why was America driving legislation that would foster dependence on China? And why was America so determined to go green while allowing China to expand its network of coal plants? Fossil fuels were all right everywhere else on earth, except for the United States and maybe Western Europe.
Afghanistan
The disastrous, catastrophic, stomach-churning American withdrawal from Afghanistan in July 2021, orchestrated by a bunch of clowns working for Joe Biden, saw the United States leave huge amounts of vehicles, weaponry, and other supplies in Afghanistan.
The Taliban took over Afghanistan almost overnight (the Biden regime thought it would take months, if not years). The withdrawal was so chaotic, 13 American service people were killed in the frenzy and misdirection. Biden thought it would be smart to withdraw the military first and then the civilians, not realizing this is tactically a bonehead decision. Of course, in his defense, Biden has yet to realize he’s a bonehead.
One of the things we left behind was Bagram Air Force Base. This isn’t just a little military post in the wilderness. Orginally built by the Soviets and then taken over by the United States, the post cost so much, it’s hard to estimate. The last runway installed cost $96M. It got renovations in 2009 that cost American taxpayers $500M. Its footprint is about 30 square miles and includes hangars, a control tower, support buildings, and even its own prison. Before Biden handed the keys to the Taliban in July of 2021, it housed about 30,000 military and civilian personnel.
It’s located north of Kabul and is currently under the control of the Taliban (thanks, Biden!) but, geographically, the base is very close to China. Too close for comfort, one might say.
Afghanistan says China is not present in any form at Bagram and China says more or less the same, but we do know that China has upped its economic and diplomatic courtship of Afghanistan since July of 2021. The location of Bagram Air Force Base puts it near a nuclear test site used by China and about 1,000 miles from Chinese missile facilities. Trump is so aggrieved by giving up Bagram that he has suggested trying to take it back. It is hard to imagine that China would not have already moved in. Afghanistan needs money more than a military post and China is likely quite willing to pay the rent.
Afghanistan objects to Trump’s efforts to reclaim the base. So does China although China, at the same time, China denies having anything to do with Bagram. It’s the old, “We don’t want you doing that, not that it’s any of our concern” defense.
So here is my unanswered question: Why would the United States pretty much hand over Bagram Air Force Base on a silver platter to Afghanistan, knowing it is very likely such a transfer would benefit China?
The Other Drug War
Antibiotics are a miracle drug. They are not natural, you have to make them in a lab and you need active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) to accomplish this. The United States knows how to make APIs; we invented some of them (and Great Britain invented a whole lot of other ones). But in 2024, China manufactured about two-thirds of all APIs for antibiotics used in the United States. In fact, in terms of the global market for antibiotics, China holds a firm 45% market share. That’s almost half of all antibiotic sales of the earth.
In the 1970s and 1980s, the United States manufactured APIs and many of its own lines of antibiotics. But more recently, the United States has shuttered it pharmaceutical manufacturing plants in a flurry to buy up Chinese products. According to Market Watch, right now in 2025, the United States has virtually zero capacity to make its own antibiotics. We import 100%, mostly from China. And even if we don’t import directly from China, we’re likely importing from another country that has imported from China.
The question I have is how did America shift from being one of the world’s leading producers of antibiotic drugs in the 1970s and 1980s to being nearly entirely dependent on China for these sometimes life-saving drugs? How did this happen? What did this transition do besides benefit China and penalize America?
How About a Guess?
Let’s guess why this happens. Let’s wonder why the United States seems eager to work with China to develop bioweapons and also to put itself at a strategic disadvantage that only serves Chinese interests.

Good one. Sometimes we do Chinese take out with our pumpkin pie if no one feels like kitchen duty Thanks and Giving. Howz about doing an egg roll over to discussing those playing “Fact” Checkers next? 🤣😎😂
